I just wanted to let you know how helpful Melissa was in helping us to establish a Facebook page for our center. I’ve been to some workshops in the past about Facebook, but felt overwhelmed about how to begin and how to focus. Melissa helped me to get the page up and going and gave me very practical, professional help so that I feel confident about moving ahead. Thanks so much for making this great training available.

At World Savvy, we are hugely grateful to the TC Media Alliance. They have done an incredible job of connecting our organization with experts in social media and communications in Minneapolis. Equipped with their support and training, we will be able tell our story and convey our message to a broader audience in a way that is compelling and effective . We are eager to strengthen our partnership with the TC Media Alliance!

The Latino Economic Development Center is excited to be working with the TC Media Alliance. The alliance recently provided LEDC with a training titled “Framing the Issue: Connecting Your Message with People’s Values through New Media Tools,” and it has sparked both conversation and action steps within LEDC, including the recent compilation of the story of the Agua Gorda Cooperative, a cooperative of Latino agricultural producers in Long Prairie, MN.

The trainings and community programming provided by Twin Cities Media Alliance and the Twin Cities Daily Planet continue to be important resources for the Land Stewardship Project as we hone our new media communications. Their commitment to high-quality, people-centered journalism and storytelling is helping us reach and engage new audiences in our work for family farms and stewardship of the land.

The Stillwater Public Library is very appreciative of the wonderful learning opportunities made available to our community from the TCMA. We have had nothing but positive feedback about class content and instructors. I also want to thank you personally for all of your help getting the TCMA classes set up for us. I hope this is a program that long continues.

The Arc Greater Twin Cities recently hosted some communications training presented through the Twin Cities Media Alliance and Twin Cities Daily Planet. The sessions were on framing issues and telling your story to make a difference. It was fantastic training. We were delighted to open our facilities to host it and have other nonprofits join us. Thank you for providing so many wonderful classes and training options and helping us learn how to make better use of digital media to tell our story. The Arc is an advocacy organization, and advocacy is not a topic that mainstream media is very interested in, unless they can sensationalize the story. We appreciate learning how we can share really compelling stories that don’t exploit our clients, who already face numerous challenges in caring for a loved one with an intellectual or developmental disability.
Pam Carlson, The Arc Greater Twin Cities
